Privacy Policy
This policy is short because there is almost nothing to disclose. Firstfruits makes zero network requests. There is no account, no server, and nothing for us to collect - so there is nothing for this page to explain away. That shortness is the point.
What we collect
Nothing. Specifically:
- No account. You never create one, sign in, or give us your name or email.
- No server. Firstfruits has no backend of any kind to send data to.
- No analytics. We do not track how you use the app, how often you open it, or what you do inside it.
- No third-party SDKs. The app does not embed any advertising, analytics, or crash reporting library from us or anyone else.
- No data collection. We do not collect, log, or transmit anything about you or your device.
- No data sharing. Since nothing is collected, there is nothing to share, sell, or hand to a third party.
Screen Time data
Firstfruits uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity) to detect when you're in a Bible app and to apply app shields. That processing happens entirely on your device, inside Apple's system frameworks. Apple's Screen Time APIs are deliberately privacy-preserving: they report threshold crossings to the app, not your raw usage. Firstfruits never sees a list of the apps you use, never sees your browsing or usage history, and has no way to read that data even if it wanted to. None of it is ever readable by us, because none of it is ever sent to us.
What the app stores, and where
Firstfruits keeps its own records - your credits, your streak, and the ledger of Bible time you've earned - in the app's App Group container on your device. This is ordinary local app storage, shared only between Firstfruits and its own extensions (the app that monitors Bible time and the app that applies the shield), never sent off the device. Deleting Firstfruits deletes this data with it. There is no cloud copy, because there is no cloud.
Children's privacy
Firstfruits is authorized using Apple's individual Screen Time authorization, approved by the device owner's own biometric or passcode confirmation. It is a self-use tool for an adult managing their own phone, not a parent-child monitoring arrangement, and it is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it. Given that the app makes no network requests by design, we do not expect that to happen often.
